Eugenio Artom

Mr. Eugenio Artom is credited with bringing together insurance leaders of Europe for discussions and resolution of common problems. He became the first Chairman of the European Insurance Committee and later chairman of the European Common Market for Insurance.

He was a senator who served in the Tuscan delegation of the National Liberation Committee and as member of the National Council of Trade & Labor. In addition, Sen. Artom was president of the Italian Insurance Association and head of his own organization, La Fondiaria Insurance Group. He promoted international cooperation within the insurance industry.
